Hamlet
A play by William Shakespeare
Hamlet was staged by Little Scorpion Productions in the disused old building of Iona Church, Port Chalmers, New Zealand, in 2018. The production used a new version of the text which was assembled from the three Shakespeare-era versions of the script by director Kerry Lane.
Hamlet was a finalist at the 2018 Dunedin Theatre Awards in the categories of ‘Best Director’, ‘Best Production’, ‘Best Scenic Design’ and ‘Best Performer’ (Brook Bray as Hamlet). The production was further recognised with a special award for ‘Outstanding Fortitude’.
