Wings | Women Like Us

A double bill of New Zealand women’s theatre, featuring one-act plays by Jess Sayer (Wings) and Helen Varley Jamieson (Women Like Us), produced by Little Scorpion Productions in 2019.

Women Like Us was written in 1993 to celebrate 100 years since women won the right to vote in Aotearoa New Zealand; Jess Sayer’s Wings was written 20 years later in 2013. The plays were performed back to back by the same group of three actors.

Shannon van Rooijen was the winner in the ‘Technical Design: Set’ category at the 2019 Dunedin Theatre Awards for her work on this production.
